when you're in love

I can remember the first day of my first Philosophy class. It was way back in 2004 with Dr. David Chandler at good old Franklin College (how I miss FC, class and the whole collegiate lifestyle)! I distinctly recollect the startling philosophy of Mr. Zeno's paradox. You know, the one that states it's impossible to get anywhere based on (what else?) logical inferences. The idea is that before you get to any point (say, the door) you must get to the halfway mark between that point and where you currently area. And before you get to that halfway point you must first get to the halfway point of the halfway point, etc. Follow?

I feel as though I'm living proof for Zeno's paradox, only it's Wendy's Time Paradox because it appears as if time isn't going anywhere. Sure, the past 4 months have flown by, but these last few days have dragged on at such a sluggish rate that I'm not so sure Saturday will ever come. Saturday being the day David and I hop on a plane to toasty, coast-laden Thailand. I fear my airy notions of ambrosial Thai cuisine and romps along the sandy shores of stark, blue seas may never materialize into concrete affairs! Alas, I press on! :)

I have one more day of English camp to go which leaves me jovial. Don't get me wrong - I love my kiddo's and I think they're super swell, but when a lady needs a break she needs a break! Tomorrow they'll eat snacks, fill out evaluation forms (frightinging), get a card from moi and then we'll finish a movie we started the other day. Hoorah!

Today I cleaned up my work area. I rearranged it about a month ago after a hard day a work (I find organizing, cleaning and rearranging a soothing release from stress) and still haven't posted pictures. It looks mucho cutesy, I swear!

Anyway, I want to post some pictures from this past Saturday when David and I gallivanted through cheery Hanam-si. I decided it would be fitting to roam about the streets to a.)get some delicious coffee at Himond, b.)get a copy of our apartment key made and c.)visit the street market. The biting wind was only a minor hindrance to an otherwise cheerful experience. We faced the sun and placed upon our faces the most genuine of smiles.
