sometimes it seems so easy to see

I've realized it's sad when people you know become people you knew. When people you looked up to become people you can't even look at anymore. I've learned that sometimes the people you think mean the most are the ones who mean absolutely nothing. And the way a person acts doesn't necessarily explain or match up to the things they say. I've learned that no matter how nice you are, people will act the way they want - but don't let it bring you down. When it comes down to it, the only people you need in your life are the ones that need you in theirs.

Life doesn't give you the people you want, it gives you the people you need. To help you, to hurt you, to love you, to leave you, and to make you into the person you were meant to become.

At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say, they're what you do. Some things you say cause there's no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often (but every now and then) some things simply speak for themselves.

I believe that everything happens for a reason; people change so you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you learn to appreciate them when they're right. And sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

-My friend Alissa wrote this recently and it was like she took the words out of my mouth.

That's all. <3

ok so,

1. I love your header. A lot.

2. This is a great little entry. And I'm pretty sure the last paragraph is a quote by Marilyn Monroe.

Aw thanks! :D

Yeah - I'm not sure what she wrote/what was quoted but I loved all of it. Very meaningful (especially at this time in life!)

Also...I'm totally thinking about doing the no-sweets challenge. haha! but seriously.

Helpful cheat for the no sugar challenge: Raw sugar is amazing. And still has the vitamins and good stuff in it.

Just read the labels for stuff, you'd be amazed some of the crap that's in things you would even expect. Skinny Bitch helps tell you what to look out for though.
